TO THE NEXT LEVEL
EMIT has always believed that leaders ought to play a pivotal role in societal and cultural change in Africa.
This is why EMIT trained more than 120,000 church leaders these past 20 years. Numerous case studies of our graduates proved that church leaders contribute hugely to societal transformation in key areas of their communities.
“More than 120,000 Church Leaders Trained…”
Closer research and continuing interviews with our graduates, however, revealed that the need remains desperate not only for the development of church leaders, but also for the development of trained, equipped and influential leaders from every level of society who have the potential to be change-agents and are in strategic positions to bring about societal change on every level of their communities. To address this critical need, we are fully convinced that the time has arrived for EMIT to move to the next level of wholistic leadership development by extending our training to a wider audience of community leaders. For e.g., equipping leaders that are involved with: emerging leaders (youth), women, entrepreneurs, health, civic/public service leaders (including politicians), social justice, educators, news media, arts, film and television.
Our objectives with all these pillars of society are threefold:
1) Enhance their spirituality.
2) Develop their leadership.
3) Professional skills with world-class training.
Leveraging the EMIT platform of influence amongst the church leaders will not change our primary vision one bit. We just want to multiply our impact by using our existing platform to broaden our societal impact and see community transformation. By leveraging our existing platform of influence via our graduates, the launching of additional initiatives will exponentially enlarge our impact.
Women Leaders are the first pillar that we are extending our training too. After extensive feedback from more than 1,000 African women leaders, EMIT developed a dynamic, 3-year curriculum to empower African women leaders and are launching numerous Women’s Empowerment initiatives in 2016. More will follow in 2017.
EMIT is committed to: Training Leaders. Transforming Nations!
Progressively, as resources become available, we will expand our wholistic Leadership Development program to all pillars of society.
